What is SteerLyte?

Power steering is an advanced form of steering system in which the overall effort required by the driver is reduced through an increase in the force applied on the steering wheel with the help of either electric or hydraulic assistance.

Hydraulic or electric actuators add controlled energy to the steering mechanism, so the driver can provide less effort to turn the steered wheels when driving at typical speeds and reduce considerably the physical effort necessary to turn the wheels when a vehicle is stopped or moving slowly. Power steering can also be engineered to provide some artificial feedback of forces acting on the steered wheels.

STEERLYTE Power Steering offers feather-light steering experience.  STEERLYTE Power Steering generates additional torque which is transferred to the Steering Shaft by means of a worm-gear transmission on the Steering Helm.  The system installation and functioning are very easy compared to conventional systems. The system can be used with smaller leisure boats all the way to larger passenger boats.

HYDRAULIC HELM

• It's an axial piston driven pump that draws and pushes the flow of steering fluid towards the cylinder
• Built-in lock valve to safeguard feedback from the rudder
• Integral relief wall to protect the steering system from excess pressure
• Number of turns required lock to lock considering the volume of the cylinder
